AWS Expands Agentic AI with New Partner Categories and Bedrock Integrations

AWS just announced three new categories for its AI Competency program to spotlight partners building autonomous AI systems on Amazon Bedrock. This comes alongside fresh integrations from partners like Informatica and Skyflow, all aimed at production-ready agentic AI that handles complex tasks independently.
New Categories for AWS AI Competency Partners
In a post on the AWS Partner Network blog dated December 1, 2025, AWS detailed the addition of Agentic AI Applications, Agentic AI Tools, and Agentic AI Consulting Services. These recognize partners who deliver enterprise solutions using Amazon Bedrock Agents and other tools.
An IDC report cited in the post notes that 23% of organizations expect full agentic AI deployment within 12 months, rising to 65% by 2027. AWS has invested over $115 million in the program since 2024 and launched with 60 partners—the biggest Specialization launch yet.
- Agentic AI Applications: Autonomous systems that sense environments, reason on goals, and act with little human input. They handle workflows, keep context, and follow governance rules.
- Agentic AI Tools: Platforms and low-code tools for building and managing agentic systems, including custom setups for regulations.
- Agentic AI Consulting Services: Guidance on deployment, alignment with business needs, and governance.
Partners get perks like $25K extra in Marketing Development Funds in 2026 and faster automated application reviews. Customers can find these partners via AWS Marketplace.
Informatica Builds on Bedrock AgentCore
Informatica’s announcement on December 1, 2025, covers new Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. These let developers pull in Informatica’s data integration, governance, and quality services for agents that access governed data in near real-time.
Informatica earned the AWS Agentic AI Specialization and two Partner Awards: Industry Partner of the Year for Healthcare & Life Sciences (Technology, Global) and Sustainability Partner of the Year (Global). Their CLAIRE AI Engine now uses Anthropic Claude models via Bedrock for tasks like SQL optimization. They also released an Enterprise Agent Blueprint for scaling agents and a Cloud Data Integration connector for Amazon SageMaker Lakehouse, supporting 300+ data sources and Apache Iceberg.
Skyflow Adds Data Protection for Agents
On December 2, 2025, Skyflow launched its Runtime AI Data Security platform for AWS AgentCore. It protects sensitive data in real-time during agentic workflows, tackling data leakage, compliance, and context-specific access—key hurdles for moving prototypes to production.
These moves show AWS and its partners pushing agentic AI toward reliable, secure enterprise use on Bedrock.
