Accenture Teams Up with OpenAI on ChatGPT Enterprise
Accenture and OpenAI announced a partnership Monday that hands ChatGPT Enterprise to tens of thousands of Accenture employees. Workers in consulting, operations, and delivery will get access right away, according to Yahoo Finance. The move helps OpenAI scale its tech for big companies while Accenture pushes AI deeper into client work.
How It Changes Consulting Work
AI is shifting what firms like Accenture do. Consultants used to stick to strategy advice; now they build AI tools and handle long-term changes for clients. Accenture CEO Julie Sweet said this deal will “accelerate enterprise reinvention and business outcomes for our clients.”
The company has been dropping staff it can’t retrain for AI roles—Sweet mentioned that in a September earnings call. At the same time, Accenture will train the most professionals through OpenAI Certifications, per OpenAI’s press release.
Joint Client Program
The two companies plan a flagship program mixing OpenAI’s tools with Accenture’s industry know-how. It aims to get clients using AI agents in real workflows faster, with better ties across their operations.
PYMNTS noted OpenAI’s push includes this Accenture tie-up plus one with Thrive Holdings to speed enterprise AI use overall.
The partnership boosted Accenture stock, TipRanks reports. See also Seeking Alpha and Benzinga.
